Many of our Cast Aluminum LED Exit Signs come with a "universal" design. "Universal" means that the sign is shipped with two EXIT faceplates and one backplate, which allows the sign to be configured for both single and double sided applicaitons. Single faced applications include installations where the sign will be back(wall) mounted above an EXIT door or installations where the sign will be mounted from the ceiling but EXIT needs only to be read from one side. Exit signs should be installed double-sided when the word EXIT needs to be read from either side, such would be the case in a corridor where the exit door is in the middle of the hallway and patrons would need to view the sign from both directions. "Universal" design also mean that the unit comes with a mounting plate that can enable the unit to be top, side, or back mounted to the wall or ceiling. Top and side mounting configurations use the mounting plate that snaps into one of three knockouts. Back(wall) mount installations do not utilize the mounting plate as the backplate is designed to attach to a wall or standard junction box.

Cast Aluminum LED Exit Signs are capable of operating using either 120 or 277 volt electricity. We offer battery backup and AC only models. If your facility does not feature a generator that powers your building's lighting system in case of a power outage then you will want to get the battery backup model. Glow in the dark exit signs are constructed from 100% aluminum and last up to 25 years. They are a one-time, easy to install, non-electrical alternative to electrical exit signs. Installation and maintnenace costs are drastically reduced as photoluminescent exit signs do not require an electrician to install and there are no bulbs, batteries, or other parts to maintain.
