PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The ELE series Edge-Lit exit sign is the most popular and affordable Edge-Lit exit sign that we offer. It is manufactured from aluminum and features a high-grade acrylic panel. The ELE series is a favorite choice of architects, lighting designers, and those looking to maintain or improve the interior aesthetic of their store, property, or other institution. The ELE series is easy to install and comes with instructions and hardware for installation into both drywall and suspended ceilings, or surface mounted. A powerful battery backup provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency support and a push-to-test battery button is standard. The ELE is offered in a white, black, or brushed aluminum housing for both single and double sided models.

EXTERNAL SPECIFICATIONS

The aluminum housing is offered in a brushed aluminum, black, or white finish. The exit panel is clear for single sided-models and features a high-grade reflective mylar or plain white insert for double-sided models. The panel is constructed of clear acrylic with beveled lettering for maximum light output. Exit letters are 6 inches high with a ¾ inch stroke. Chevron directional indicators are included standard for in-field application.

INSTALLATION

Recessed ceiling mount, accessible above the plenum. Back-box requires 14 1/2â x 2 9/16â cut out. Bar hanger assembly allows 15/16â variable depth to ensure flush fit, proper seal and eliminate light leak. Trim plate allows 3/4â adjustment range for accurate alignment. Trim plate attaches to back-box with two 1â #10 screws (provided). Electronics and battery contained in back-box. Plug-in battery connector supplied for easy installation. Hardware provided. Ceiling Surface Mount or Drywall Ceiling Recessed options are also available.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The ELE series Edge-Lit exit sign is configured for standard operation with 120/277VAC dual voltage input. Current charge regulator is standard.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Brushed aluminum, Black or white housing contains red or Green LEDs, circuit board, transformer, and battery backup system.

BATTERY

The ELE series is supplied with a maintenance free, nickel-cadmium battery for emergency operation that provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency operation. Recharge time of the battery is twenty-four (24) hours. The maximum working temperature is 50 C. A push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to quickly confirm the operational status of the emergency light.
