The Exit Store's LEC Exit Sign uses approximately 25 cents per year of electricity. The batteries used within the light for backup purposes (Optional Emergency Battery backup) features a premium NiCad battery that has a lifespan of 10 years before needing to be replaced. The light is available only in green but there is a science behind this design. The frequency of green within the letters of the face are 'tuned' to match the widest, optimal visibility within the color spectrum for the normal human eye. The sign is UL listed for US and Canada. Black and White housing are available. The slim low profile housing is concise and decoratively pleasing when installed. This sign is Made in America. When the light engages into emergency mode operation the output of the light increases to improve visibility while conserving energy during normal operation.
