Construction

Housing and Cover/Trim: LED-XFO-C Series surface mount housings and covers are constructed of heavy gauge steel finished in white baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance. Optional black (-BK) and dark bronze (-DB) finishes are available, see Options on front for ordering details. LED-RXFO-C Series recess mount model housings are constructed of heavy gauge steel with a steel ceiling trim plate finished in white baked-on powder paint providing scratch and corrosion resistance. Optional trim plate finishes include black (-BK), dark bronze (-DB), polished brass (-PB) and brushed aluminum (-BA), see Options on front for ordering details.

Exit Panels:All models utilize acrylic exit panels with screened on letters. Panels may be supplied with red or green letters and a choice of white or mirrored mylar backgrounds. Panels may also be specified with white letters and a choice of red or green backgrounds.

Exit Face

Letter Size: 6” letters with 3/4” stroke Directional Indicators: Screened on chevron arrows sized to meet UL visibility requirements.

Illumination

Light Source:Exit face illumination is provided by a special high intensity indirect white LED lighting strips. Letter brightness and illumination uniformity exceed UL requirements. LED Lamp Life: 25 years (estimated average)

Installation

Surface Mounting:Universal housing knockouts are provided for direct attachment to standard 3 1/2” and 4” electrical boxes in wall, ceiling or end mount applications. Recess Mounting: Recess models allow unit installation in both suspended T-grid and wood framed ceiling applications.

Code Information

All models are EnergyStar compliant, UL Listed and meet NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NEC, OSHA and City of Chicago codes. Emergency models are UL924 Listed.

Charger and Electronics

• Low Voltage Battery Disconnect: Protects the battery from being severely damaged by deep discharge during prolonged power failures.

Emergency Operation

Upon failure of the normal utility power, a solid-state transfer switch automatically activates the emergency lamp. The battery is protected from deep discharge through the use of a low voltage disconnect circuit. Upon resumption of the normal utility power the battery is disconnected from the load and recharged through a solid-state charging circuit.

Optional Self-Diagnostic Circuit

The optional SX self-diagnostics circuit automatically performs a 15-minute diagnostic/discharge test of the unit every 30 days. The SX circuit checks for proper battery capacity and emergency lamp operation. Malfunction of the battery or lamp(s) detected during diagnostic cycles will be indicated by the units LED status indicator.

Battery

LED-XFO/RXFO-C Series exit signs are provided with a sealed maintenance free lead calcium battery that will provide many years of dependable service.

Warranty Unit: (including LED lamps) 3-years full coverage against defects in materials and workmanship from date of shipment.

• Battery: 3 years full warranty plus an additional 7 years of pro-rata coverage.

WARRANTY

The Exit Store guarantees each product to be free from defects to the original purchaser for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase.If any component is found to be defective, The Exit Store will repair or replace the defective component at their option. Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, improper environmental conditions, unauthorized modifications or shipping damage.Damage caused by explosions, water leaks, fire, war or acts of God are also not covered.
