PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The TES-RETRO-STRIP LED Exit Sign Retrofit Strip reduces the consumption of an incandescent exit sign from approximately 30 watts down to either 1.0 (green) or 1.5 (red) watts. Installing the TES-RETRO-STRIP not only reduces energy consumption and costs, but also labor and maintenance costs. The average incandescent bulb needs replacement every 3 to 4 months when used 24/7, while this LED strip will operate for up to 10 years while being constantly operated.

APPLICATION

Suitable for use on incandescent, fluorescent and compact fluorescent illuminated exit signs.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The TES-RETRO-STRIP comes standard in dual voltage (120/277v) and can be ordered as 120v or 277v. Consumes between 1.0 (green) and 1.5 (red) watts.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Hardwire is the standard connection offered. The TES-RETRO-STRIP is also available with a candelabra, intermediate, medium and double contact base. Red or Green color available.

WARRANTY

Five-year warranty for manufacturing defects included standard.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR INSTALLATION

Basic safety precautions should always be followed, including turning off the power to the fixture.
Direct connections must be done by a qualified electrician and in accordance to all local building and safety codes.
All retrofit kits are subject to inspection by authorities having jurisdiction.
Do not let power cord touch hot or sharp surfaces.
Do not use outdoors were water can get in the sign.
Never install pigtail by turning supply wires, but only turn by plastic body.
Choose proper pigtail for socket and only for 120VAC sockets.
Do not use this equipment for anything other than intended sign use.
Not for use in edge-lit constructions.
For use with a stencil-faced EXIT legend not exceeding 6 inches (152 mm) in height with interior dimensions of 6.25” H x 9.5” W x 0.875” D minimum and 8.875” H x 13.5” W x 3.25” D maximum.
