PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Fusion is a fully recessed, architectural emergency lighting unit. Suitable for wall or ceiling mounting, Fusion remains unobtrusive even when illuminated. Fusion provides an alternative to standard wall mounted emergency lighting.

ILLUMINATION

Illumination is provided by two high performance 35 watt MR16 lamps combined with a patented reflector system. Optical assemblies can be rotated from 0°to 90° for corner installations. Wall mounted versions can generate an average of 1 footcandle of emergency illumination over a 3ft x 60ft egress path, while ceiling mounted versions can broadcast an average of 1 footcandle over a 3ft x 90ft egress path. The lamps remain hidden during emergency illumination. IES photometric data files are available upon request.

INSTALLATION

The Fusion series is supplied with ceiling mount optics. Wall mount units require the wall mount lens kit accessory (WMLK). Mechanical or sheetrock ceiling installation is enabled using optional bar hangers or structural support wire (supplied by others).

HOUSING

Backbox constructed of 20 gauge galvanized steel. Flush cover and diffusers constructed of impact resistant polycarbonate. White faceplate is standard, with optional black housing available. Faceplate may be painted or wallpapered to match wall or ceiling decor. Suitable for wall or ceiling mounting. Wall mounted units can be fastened to wood or metal studs from either the left or right side. Mechanical ceiling mounting is accomplished with grid ceiling bar hangers.

ELECTRONICS

120/277 VAC dual voltage input with surge-protected, solid-state charging circuitry provides for a reliable charging system. Fully automatic, voltage regulated charging system will maintain battery at full capacity without the need for periodic equalization charge. Charging system is complete with low voltage disconnect, AC lockout, brownout protection, AC indicator lamp and test switch. Optional ACCU-TEST self-diagnostics includes an automatic 3 minute discharge test every 30 days. A manual discharge test from 1 to 90 minutes is available. Real-time system checks occur automatically every minute. Individual LED indicators illuminate red if either a battery, charger or lamp failure occurs.

BATTERY

The battery shall be maintenance free, sealed lead calcium. The sealed lead calcium battery shall provide trouble-free operation in temperatures up to 85°F (30°C) and is supplied with a one year full warranty.)

CHARGING CIRCUITRY

Unit shall utilize a fully automatic, voltage regulated charging system. The charging system shall maintain the battery at full capacity without the need for periodic exercising or equalization. The following features shall be standard: Low voltage disconnect (LVD), brownout protection and AC lockout. Optional self-diagnostics shall monitor and indicate a fault occurring in either the charger, battery, lamp circuit, or input supply.
