The TES-WL-ER-L-EM wet location combination exit sign with emergency lights is designed with the extremes of the environment in mind. The fully gasketed polycarbonate lens and ABS thermoplastic housing allows the WL series to be installed in locations that require NEMA 4X protection. Weather-proof Par36 emergency lighting heads are also be installed on this unit. The WL series is available configured with high-output LEDâs in AC only and Self-Powered operation versions.
EXTERNAL SPECIFICATIONS
The TES-WL Series housing is constructed from durable, corrosion resistant ABS thermoplastic. The housing is fully gasketed for wet location applications and is supplied standard in a grey finish. Four (4) polycarbonate pressure screws firmly hold the polycarbonate lens in place. Wall, ceiling or end mounting configurations are available. Single face only. Removable chevron arrows are standard on each unit. The self-powered version comes standard with an external LED status indicator and test switch.

EMERGENCY SPECIFICATIONS
AC ONLY: standard 120/277VAC input BATTERY BACKUP: standard self-powered versions use sealed nickel-cadmium batteries to provide a minimum 90 minutes of emergency duration. Maintenance free
sealed lead acid battery used when optional
emergency heads are ordered. Optional 120 minute duration battery is available. Solid state charger and transfer.
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The TES-WL series housing is constructed from durable, corrosion resistant ABS thermoplastic. The housing is fully gasketed for damp, wet and NEMA 4X locations with a hot-bonded silicone gasket. Exit face(s) are made from a high clarity, clear polycarbonate that has been painted white on the internal side only, making the unit highly scratch resistant. Custom face colors and special wording / graphics are available, please specify. Field removable chevron arrows are standard on each face. Four (4) polycarbonate pressure screws firmly hold the face to the housing. Optional Par36 heads are constructed of high-impact, black thermoplastic that has been sealed against moisture infiltration.
BATTERY
The TES-WL-BB-6-27, 6-36 and 6-55 are designed with an internal, maintenance free, valve regulated sealed lead-acid battery providing emergency lighting duration as per specified unit. The TES-WL-BB is designed with an internal maintenance free, sealed
Nickel-Cadmium battery providing a minimum emergency duration of 90 minutes. An optional 120 minute
Nickel-Cadmium battery is available. Recharge time of the battery is twenty-four (24) hours. The maximum battery operating temperature is 50 C.
LAMPHEAD SELECTION
We offer 6V SEALED BEAM lamp heads in the following types and wattages:
- (SB) standard: 9w, 18w, 25w
- (SBH) halogen: 12w, 20w
WET LOCATION RATED WITH EXTREME CLIMATE DESIGN
The TES-WL series has been designed to perform in applications where the climate would punish any standard sign. The entire internal cavity of the sign is protected from moisture invasion by an extremely resilient silicone gasket. The liquid gasketing is âhot-bondedâ to the lens during the manufacturing process. This procedure eliminates any chance of the gasketing to become dry and pull away from the lens. The gasketing always holds its original form and has âmemory retentionâ so that it effectively and consistently protects the TES-WL series from moisture. The TES-WL can also be equipped with an optional thermostatically controlled heater for cold environments. The ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) housing is highly corrosion resistant and will not rust or rot. The molded ABS finish cannot be scraped or scratched away exposing raw metals like standard steel signs.
WARRANTY
The TES-WL comes from the factory with an 5-year product warranty against manufacturing defects. The battery is covered by a 5-year prorated warranty.
