PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The TES-LEC Exit Sign is the world's most energy-efficient electrical exit signs, consuming less than 1/4 of one watt of electricity for operation. LEC (Light Emitting Capacitor) illuminations technology uses a continuous layer of millions of microscopic encapsulated zinc sulfide photon emitting crystals that produce powerful illumination while using very little energy. LEC lighting technology has been in use in exit signs for over 10 years, consistently providing superior performance. The LEC exit sign's ongoing readability is due to the direct viewing of tiny solid state light sources which maintain their collective uniformity. Other lighting technologies, such as LED, rely on redirected light to provide uniform illumination, which diminishes over time causing unbalanced light output and eventually can result in an unreadable and unsafe exit sign.

EXTERNAL SPECIFICATIONS

The TES-157 series recycled aluminum body provides sturdy construction that is capable of handling moderate levels of abuse. The face has a baked enamel with polished clear coat for brilliant shine. The TES-157 can be ordered unframed, with a black aluminum frame, or with a low-profile brushed aluminum frame. This model comes without an arrow kit. Arrow kits are required for exit signs that are not placed directly above an exit door, such as throughout interior corridors. If you to install directional arrows, please purchase the model that comes with the arrow kit.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The TES-LEC features recision molded housing and mountain canopy constructed of impact-resistant, UV stable, flame-retarding ABS alloy which resists scratching and denting. NFPA field selectable chevrons are provided. Available in Black and White standard finishes.

INSTALLATION

TES-LEC signs are factory configured Top/Ceiling Mount, Back Wall Mount and Right or Left Side Wall Mount, Flush Mount for easy field installation.

EMERGENCY OPERATIONS

A solid state smart-change circuit is provided to increase battery life. The LEC lamp brightness is increased by about 25% and will operate for up to 2 hours on the battery system. Push to test switch and an LED test light AC indicator are provided for system testing.

Maintenance-free, sealed Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery pack provides an estimated service life of 10 years with an operating temperature range of 65 F to 85 F.

The TES-LEC EXIT sign has been tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in accordance with UL 924 and complies with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 5000, JCAHO, OSHA , ICC - IBC, ICBO - UBC, BOCA - NBC, SBCCI - SBC, 1/UFC, CA Bldg. Code
