The TES-LEC Exit Sign is the worldâs most energy-efficient electrical exit signs, consuming less than 1/4 of one watt of electricity for operation. LEC (Light Emitting Capacitor) illuminations technology uses a continuous layer of millions of microscopic encapsulated zinc sulfide photon emitting crystals that produce powerful illumination while using very little energy. LEC lighting technology has been in use in exit signs for over 10 years, consistently providing superior performance. The LEC exit signâs ongoing readability is due to the direct viewing of tiny solid state light sources which maintain their collective uniformity. Other lighting technologies, such as LED, rely on redirected light to provide uniform illumination, which diminishes over time causing unbalanced light output and eventually can result in an unreadable and unsafe exit sign.

The TES-LEC features recision molded housing and mountain canopy constructed of impact-resistant, UV stable, flame-retarding ABS alloy which resists scratching and denting. NFPA field selectable chevrons are provided. Available in Black and White standard finishes.
TES-LEC signs are factory configured Top/Ceiling Mount, Back Wall Mount and Right or Left Side Wall Mount, Flush Mount for easy field installation.
A solid state smart-change circuit is provided to increase battery life. The LEC lamp brightness is increased by about 25% and will operate for up to 2 hours on the battery system. Push to test switch and an LED test light AC indicator are provided for system testing.
Maintenance-free, sealed Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery pack provides an estimated service life of 10 years with an operating temperature range of 65 F to 85 F.
